East Gippsland in about 1991. Government representatives Gary Squires (regional manager) and Ross Runall tell us ( with a straight face! ) that this is the most sensitive harvesting they can manage. Gary was still regional manager when East Gippsland Logging won exclusive harvesting rights for the area...soon after he left the department to join the company. Need we say more?
